Rcktmom, LLC began in the late 1990s as an eBay 'store,' founded by aerospace engineer and space enthusiast Nancy J Lindsey. Over time, what started as a small entrepreneurial venture evolved into a full-service LLC dedicated to helping others reach their goals through genealogy, engineering, and training/tutoring services.
This transformation reflects Nancy's lifelong passion for assisting others - friends, family, and peers alike - with STEM learning, technical challenges, and family history research. Drawing on over four decades of experience assuring space mission success (for defense/industry/NASA) and geneaology research, Nancy brings both analytical expertise and a heartfelt commitment to all her education, research, and discovery efforts.
The name Rcktmom perfectly captures the essence of both Nancy and the company she founded. It reflects Nancy's love of math, science, space, and discovery - rooted in her since the first steps on the Moon - and her deep commitment to her role as a mother. The origin of the name traces back to a family nickname inspired by Nancy's career in aerospace engineering and her children affectionately calling her their 'Mom, the rocket scientist.' Over time, this became the nickname - 'Rocket Mom' - a lasting symbol of Nancy's unique blend of technical expertise and maternal warmth, which became the foundation for, Rcktmom, LLC and the values it upholds.
